Description
Acquity Ultra Performance Convergence Chromatography (UPC2) coupled with Single Quadrupole (SQ) Detector 2 mass spectrometry was applied to the specific quantitative trace analysis of sucrose esters. This analysis method was successfully applied to analyze sucrose esters containing various fatty acyl chains. UPC2-MS is significantly faster than HPLC-ELSD and RPLC (running time is only 2 min), which improves the performance significantly, and further screening of the peak time and mass number makes the results more precise. The use of less toxic, economical supercritical CO2 as the solvent is in line with the concept of green chemistry.
