Description
In the spring of 1965, the community of people living at Mishamikoweesh branched into the present-day communities of Kingfisher Lake and Wunnumin Lake. This text collection features the recollections of six members of Kingfisher Lake about the move. Each story was initially transcribed from an oral telling in Kingfisher Lake, and is presented here in Oji-Cree syllabic orthography and English translation, with a full glossary.
