This is the accompanying code (CUDA + Python + Jupyter notebook) for the paper: Verisokin AY, Verveyko DV, Postnov DE and Brazhe AR (2021) Front. Cell. Neurosci. 15:645068. doi: 10.3389/fncel.2021.645068

Model code

Main model code is in astroVolume/astroVolume.cu. Code compilation and running can be run from python (see jupyter notebooks).

How to run the code

  1. Install Anaconda python (https://www.anaconda.com/products/individual)
  2. Use environment.yml to create Anaconda environment with dependencies
  3. Install Nvidia CUDA (e.g. apt install nvidia-cuda-toolkit in Ubuntu)
  4. Run Jupyter notebooks
    • NetworkTemplateCreation.ipynb reproduces creation of network templates
    • RunningNetworkSim.ipynb shows how to run simulations
