Measurements of stem sap flux on tamarisk trees planted in experimental open-top mesocosms. Half of the plants were experimentally defoliated on three occasions during the growing season while the other half served as control plants. Sap flux was measured from May 10, 2016 to November 11, 2016 in Boulder City, Nevada, USA,
