Conclusions. The systematization of the views of scientists regarding the definition of the concept of
«motivation» was further developed. It is noted that its most complete interpretation is the following:
labor motivation is a combination of various methods of labor organization aimed at encouraging
personnel to work, depending on the goals of the enterprise and employees. In order to determine all
possible methods and forms of stimulating workers' labor, theoretical provisions on the comparison of
motives and incentives were further developed and their relationship was shown. This made it possible
to define motive and incentive as two parallel and interdependent models of stimulating the employee's
work. The results of the study of methodological approaches to the formation of a modern effective
system of employee labor motivation in the enterprise management system make it possible to expand
the list of important factors affecting its state, and make it possible to determine the main directions
of its formation.
