Alyssum vesicaria Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 651. 1753.

Lectotype (Al-Shehbaz & Turland in Cafferty & Jarvis in Taxon 51: 531. 2002): [icon] "Vesicaria Orientalis folds dentatis" in Tournefort, Rel. Voy. Levant (Paris ed.) 2: 252. 1717.
Current name: Coluteocarpus vesicaria (L.) Holmboe (Brassicaceae).
Note: Hedge (in Hedge & Rechinger, Fl. Iranica 57: 97. 1968) indicated unspecified Tournefort material as type. However, as Linnaeus did not have the opportunity to study Tournefort’s specimens, this is not an original element for Linnaeus’ name.
