RURAL TOURISM WITH ALL ASPECTS AND A SWOT ANALYSİS STUDY ON THE PROVİNCE OF KAYSERİ / TÜM YÖNLERİ İLE KIRSAL TURİZM VE KAYSERİ İLİ ÜZERİNE BİR SWOT ANALİZİ ÇALIŞMASI

ÖZ
Kitle turizminin kaynakları hızla tüketmesi, çevresel, ekolojik, sosyal ve kültürel çevrede olumsuz etkilerin oluşmasına neden olmuştur ve değişen turizm ihtiyaçlarına paralel olarak, alternatif turizm türlerinin geliştirilmesi kapsamında kırsal turizm ve diğer turizm çeşitleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Kırsal turizm yerel halkı ve bölgeyi kalkındırmada çok önemli bir role sahiptir. Bu nedenle ülkemizin kırsal alanlarını yeterince tanıtarak iç ve dış turizme açmamız gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada kırsal turizmin gelişimine katkıda bulunmak, tanıtılmasını sağlamak, kırsal turizmin bölgeye ve kırsal kalkınmaya olan katkısını ortaya koymak, Türkiye’yi diğer ülkelerle kıyaslamak ve Kayseri ilinin kırsal turizm potansiyelini incelemek amaçlanmaktadır. Bu araştırmada ikincil kaynaklardan yararlanılmış ve bu kapsamda Kayseri ilinin kırsal turizm konusunda SWOT analizi yapılmıştır. Kırsal turizmin ülkemizin ulusal ekonomisine ve bulunduğu bölgeye olan katkıları göz önünde bulundurulduğunda kesinlikle önemli bir turizm türü olduğu fakat bu turizm türünün yapılması, tanıtılması ve pazarlanmasında birtakım sıkıntılarla ve zorluklarla karşılaşıldığı anlaşılmaktadır. Ayrıca, araştırmada kırsal bölgede çekilen filmlerin bölgenin tanıtımını sağladığı ve bölgeye büyük bir turist kitlesi çektiği belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, Kayserinin kırsal turizm potansiyeline sahip alanlarının olduğu ve Kayseri’de kırsal turizme ilişkin herhangi bir girişimde bulunulmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Genel olarak, kırsal turizmin geliştirilmesi, tanıtılması, kırsal turizm destinasyonlarının tanıtılması, pazarlanması ve uluslararası pazarda yer almasına yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

RURAL TOURISM WITH ALL ASPECTS AND A SWOT ANALYSİS STUDY ON THE PROVİNCE OF KAYSERİ

ABSTRACT

Consumption of resources rapidly by mass tourism caused negative effects on environmental, ecological, social and cultural environment and in parallel with changing tourism needs; rural tourism and other tourism varieties emerged within the scope of development of alternative tourism types. Rural tourism has a very important role in the development of local people and the region. Therefore we need to introduce domestic and foreign tourism by sufficiently introducing the rural areas of our country. The aims of this study are to contribute to the development of rural tourism, to promote it, to demonstrate the contribution of rural tourism to regional and rural development, to compare with other countries to Turkey and to examine the rural tourism potential of Kayseri province. Secondary data were used in this study and in this context, SWOT analysis of rural tourism in Kayseri was conducted. When considering the contribution of rural tourism to the national economy of our country and the region where it is located, rural tourism is certainly an important type of tourism, but It is understood that there are some difficulties in the construction, promotion and marketing of rural tourism. Furthermore, it was determined that the films shot in the rural area provided the promotion of the region and attracted a great amount of tourists to the region. Consequently, it has been determined that Kayseri has areas with rural tourism potential and no attempt has been made related rural tourism in Kayseri. Generally, suggestions and implications are made for rural tourism development, promotion, promotion and marketing of rural tourism destinations and participation in the international marketplace.
