Ocorrência de Thyanta perditor (Fabricius, 1794) (Heteroptera, Pentatomidae) danificando sorgo em Jaboticabal, São Paulo, Brasil

Infestations of Thyanta perditor (Fabricius, 1794) in high densities were observed severely damaging sorghum (cultivar 'Brandes' and others) in the region of Jaboticabal, SP, Brazil. Approximately 90% of the pentatomids were adults, probably migration from an adjacent soybean crop. The grain yield obtained was small and showing symptons of "wilted-wrinkled". It was also observed an average of 8-10 insects per head, and about 10% of the heads were infested.
