Methodological basis for food supply assessment

The purpose of the study is to assess the level of food supply of the country taking into account
the risks of the present.
Methods of research. The work uses a set of scientific methods and economic theories, including
system analysis, econometric modeling in order to predict the studied socio–economic processes.
Results of work. The article analyzes the current state of national food supply and a reasonable
need for formation of a scientifically sound strategy of innovative and investment development of
agrarian production.
Industry application of results. Management, economics, applied economics, economic
cybernetics, digital economy.
Conclusions. The article focuses on the assessment and level of food security. The risks of food
security of today are analyzed, caused by a number of socio–economic conditions and not resolved
geopolitical discussion, as well as, unfortunately, a protracted pandemic. A reasonable need for
the formation of a modern strategy for the development of agrarian production, which is a pre–
presentation of further research.
