Thermal emission spectra of ultramafic to felsic rocks

Description

This data set contains two files. One file contains thermal emission spectra of 10 rock samples. Data were collected at Arizona State University in the early 2000's. Most samples were purchased from Ward's. The other file contains the same spectra, degraded to the spectral bandpasses of the Mars Odyssey Thermal Emission Imaging System (THEMIS). All lab spectra were measured from rock hand samples (not particulate samples).

The xaxis for the spectra at lab resolution is in units of wavenumber (cm^-1).

The xaxis for the spectra at THEMIS resolution is in units of wavelength (microns).
