J/ψ Production in d + Au and p + p Collisions at √s= 200 GeV
Description
We present the transverse momentum distribution above 2 GeV/c for p + p collisions which are reasonable well described by the color-octant model (COM). The COM calculations are able to reproduce √s dependence of the cross section using color octet matrix with a reasonable choice of QCD parameters. The differential cross section have been extracted for both muon and electron channels, we find that the rapidity distribution shape is consistent with known Parton Distribution Functions (PDF). We also report the ratio of the J/ψ production in d + Au collisions to p + p collisions as a function of rapidity which shows consistency with shadowing at low x and suppression at larger x.
