  • 1. Universidad Central de Venezuela

Description

Notes

Bimetallic catalysts were synthesized from a metal-organic complex supported on alumina with a Nb:Mo ratio of 1:4 by the thermal decomposition method (DT) using H2 and N2 as synthesis gases and compared to carbide and nitride with the same ratio obtained by the method Temperature-Programmed Reaction (RTP) with CH4 / H2 and NH3 as reaction gases, respectively. Physicochemical characterization showed the presence of various phases of monometallic and bimetallic NbMo species well dispersed on the surface of the support. Catalytic evaluation of VGO HDS showed higher conversions for solids with larger percentage of carburized species, which formation is promoted by the reducing effect of the synthesis gas
