Potential for sustainable irrigation expansion in a 3C warmer climate

This repository contains supporting data for: "Global sustainable irrigation expansion potential in a 3ºC warmer climate"

The dataset contains:

-Annual irrigation water requirements (IWR) under baseline and 3C warmer climate. Units: 10^9 m3. 

-Extent of rain-fed croplands not exposed to green water scarcity (GWS) under baseline and 3C warmer climate, as in figure 1 in the paper.

-Extent of sustainable irrigation expansion potential with soft-path, soft-path and deficit irrigation, and hard-path approaches under baseline and 3C warmer climate, as in figure 2 in the paper.

Files are uploaded in netcdf formats.
