DIHNET- Deliverable 4.1 – Specialisation and collaboration in the DIH universe

This deliverable 4.1 aims at identifying the responsibilities among different actors in the DIH landscape. The deliverable takes a broad look at specialisation and goes beyond the initially described work in two ways:

• DIHNET focuses primarily on networks of DIHs rather than on individual DIHs. In recent years the DIH landscape has become highly complex with a proliferation of hubs, the emergence of regional DIH networks, national platforms and pan-European networks of innovation hubs. This complexity requires us to look beyond individual hubs and assess specialisation not only in individual regions but also between regional national and international levels.
• Based on this conceptual overview, we will work with selected (6-8) DIHs and networks in order to validate this approach and explore with them what possible strategies that could be adopted to support specialisation and collaboration in the EU DIH landscape.
