Description

Gastropods from the Coral facies of the St-Ursanne-Formation (middle Oxfordian) from the Swiss Jura. Part 2. Patellogastropoda and Vetigastropoda.- Some localities of the gastropod bearing St-Ursanne Formation are presented herein. Described in detail are the locations La Caquerelle and Rieji near Roggenburg. All in all could be found 32 species from Patellogastropoda and Vetigastropoda. New are the genera Oxfordina n. gen., Helvetataphrus n. gen. and Pseudangaria n. gen. as well as the species Patella staceata n. sp., Emarginula rara n. sp., Rimulopsis torulosus n. sp., Chilodonta tricostatula n. sp. and Cochleochilus? spiralocostatus n. sp. The genus membership is changed for or 13 species and 4 species are listed under open nomenclature. A lectotypus is determined for 5 species. Finally are discussed the facial conditions of the Chestel and Buix Members (St-Ursanne Formation) and the dependance of the gastropods from these conditions.
