Even in the era of digitized collections, scholarly interaction with source materials – i.e. close reading – remains a key element of humanities research, while standard digital query methods are often perceived as restrictive.
The EviDENce corpus creation framework provides scholars with a tool to intuitively interact with a collection, starting from manually selected elements and employing abstract high level similarity measures to suggest further relevant source material for further inspection –
