Description

In resource-limited contexts, available data indicate that people with disability are at higher risk of negative sexual and reproductive health outcomes. Recognizing the importance - highlighted in the Convention for the Right of Persons with Disabilities – of valid data to defend the rights of the people with disabilities, the Institute of Demographic Training and Research (IFORD), the Institute of Statistics of Burundi (ISTEEBU), the Institute of Research for Development (IRD), the NGO Nouvelle Esperance and the Faculty of Management of University of Burundi (FEM/UB) conducted a survey on the SRH of adults, adolescent and young people with disabilities living in Bujumbura, Burundi. This survey was funded by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (Grant W08.560.005) and the Initiative 5%. Part of the data collected during the survey have been made available in the datasets.
