Open
Open Educational Resources - Finding, Using and Making
Description
In this workshop session, the author explored what's meant by 'Open Educational Resources', particularly in the higher education context. He looks at the history of this idea and see how early initiatives with 'reusable learning objects' and repositories seemed to hold so much promise but then foundered somewhat.
Also considered are Creative Commons and other open licences and examine whether newer approaches to sharing materials are more likely to succeed.
The presentation was part of the Open Scholarship Week 2020 and was hosted by Iain MacLaren, Director of CELT.
