Repositório de dados como forma de organização do conhecimento e desenvolvimento científico

Data stored in data repositories can contribute to the rescue of a researcher's memory in relation to your research and institution, since they are organized and represented in order to reveal the methods and instruments used by the researchers in certain periods of time, as well as the themes researched, the types of data collected or generated and the historical context that did part, making it possible to constitute a collective memory. It was tried to present how the organization and representation of data in data repository can contribute to the constitution and retrivel of institutional memory. The methodology was exploratory and descriptive. The universe was composed of 36 repositories retrivel from the 100 best universities in the world. To collect the data on the metadata standard used by the repositories, the Registry of Research Data Repositoy was used. The results demonstrate that for the representation of data sets, repositories use the Dublin Core Metadata Scheme and some repositories have created their own requirements from DC to meet their particularities in representation. It is concluded that the data repositories add value to the institutional repositories of universities and are committed to the formation of academic and institutional memory.
