Description

Changes in U.S. spectrum licensing require on-going shared use of spectrum bands between commercial and government services. This requires accurate tools to estimate mutual interference between different technologies, over different spatial scales, numbers of transmitters, and using complex protocols such as LTE (Long Term Evolution) operating in multiple bands simultaneously. Current interference simulation tools are inadequate. The Spectrum Sharing Simulator Project is enhancing the open source ns-3 simulator to support much larger problems, easier parallel execution, and enhanced LTE models to track 3GPP standard development.
