Effectiveness of a pre-adolescent inter-generational intervention addressing HIV and obesity using a pretest posttest design

The CIrCLE of Life Initiative is an intervention that was developed for Grade 6 learners and their parents. A pre-test was conducted, intervention implemented and a post-test followed. The study aimed to evaluate whether the combined HIV and obesity intervention increased knowledge, enhanced skills and/or promoted healthy behaviour among pre-adolescent learners and their parents.
