Global fire size, number and distribution

These are the fire size, number and size distribution as extracted from global MODIS burnt area data produced as described in Hantson et al. (2015; https://doi.org/10.1111/geb.12246). Mean fire size (ha), number of fires (nr. /yr.) and fire size distribution (-beta) are provided at 1deg. resolution. The raw data and processed data at other resolutions can be provided by contacting the author.
