Molla Sadra Tefsirinde Lafzatullah

The word of Allah is a name that is used only for the essence of Allah and contains all the attributes that define deity. In the literature, there are discussions about the etymology and meaning of this word. Espcially, Tafsir Sources have given information relevant on the subject of the commentary of Besmele or Sura Fatiha. Mollah Sadra, one of the most important figures of Islamic thought in our study, dealt with the issue of lafzatullah while commenting Surat al-Fatiha and Ayetü’l-Kürsi. He accepts the view that Lafzatullah is a derivative and accepts that this name is unique to Allah. In this article, Mollah Sadra's views on the subject will be analyzed.
