Redistribution of the map with the borders of the Flemish provinces (status 2018-05-16)

This is a redistribution of a subdataset of the data source 'Voorlopig referentiebestand gemeentegrenzen, toestand 16/05/2018' (Provisional Reference File Municipal Borders), originally published by 'Informatie Vlaanderen' under a CC-BY compatible license. It is redistributed for reproducible, analytical workflows on Flemish Natura 2000 habitats and regionally important biotopes.

The Provisional Reference File Municipal Borders contains information about the delimitation of the territory of the administrative units in the Flemish Region: Municipalities, Administrative districts, Provinces and the Flemish Region. The dataset also contains meta information about the origin of the geometry of the municipal boundaries. The Provisional Reference File Municipal Borders serves as a geometric and object reference for the administrative divisions in Flanders. The best available information is used to construct the geometry of the several administrative divisions.

This subdataset is a shapefile of geospatial polygons that delimit the Flemish Region, identical to the shapefile Refprov in the original data source.

The data source is produced, owned and administered by ‘Informatie Vlaanderen’.
