Chemical nature of allelopathic active compounds of Rhododendron luteum Sweet

The allelopathic characteristic of R. luteum Sweet is given for the first time its physiological and biochemical properties are studied. The chemical nature of allelopathic active substanses of R. luteum Sweet is established. It is established, that allelopathic activity is caused by presence of phenolic compounds, amino acids, lectins and saponins. Seasonal dynamics of accumulation of allelopathic active compounds in the plant and in soil's risosphere has been investigated.
