S/W PRESERVATION AND LEGACY ISSUES AT LEP

This document started off as a summary of software preservation and legacy issues at LEP for WOSSS19 and was subsequently expanded to address the possibility / appropriateness of applying FAIR[1] principles to software. It should be understood that memories of this era are now as dusty as the card decks that preceded it. (But not us?)
