BARCAN data base

Description

The BARCAN project aimed at studying the morphodynamics of a near-shore bar. Special attention was devoted to the effects of infragravity waves. Experiments in a small-scale physical model with light-weight sediment were conducted, and the hydrodynamics was simulated with a Boussinesq-type numerical model (SERR1D).

The data base is the set of measurements (including water surface elevation, flow velocities and bed profile changes) and results of numerical simulations, see details in the accompanying note and in the paper submitted to JGR (10.1029/2018JC014778).
