mpMap2 is an R package for constructing genetics maps using genotyping data from multi-parent populations.

Key Features

1. Uses the S4 object system, to enforce constraints on the data.
2. Extends genetic map construction to biparental and 16-parent populations.
3. Allows for finite generations of selfing, and therefore incorporate heterozygous lines into the map construction process.
4. Allows the simultaneous use of multiple experiments in the construction of a single map.
5. When used in combination with the R package mpMapInteractive2, allows map construction to be performed visually and interactively.
