FIGURES 52–55. Protaetia jelineki, variation in the degree of wear of anterior tibiae of females at the beginning of the season (Erzurum, Campus of Atatürk Universitesi, 16 June 2013). 52, freshly emerged, with sharp, unworn edge; 53–55, worn specimens, with degree of wear ordinary (53, 54) and unusually extreme, not equaled by any other specimen in the long series examined (55). Note the different degrees of wear also on hair of mesothoracic epimera. Not to scale.
