Sketching functions as a digital task with automated feedback

This paper describes and illustrates a digital task implemented in STACK in which students are asked to sketch the graph of a function. Students can draw a sketch of the function’s graph which is evaluated automatically afterwards. Besides the front-end task design, some details of the underlying feedback tree and didactical aspects are discussed in relation to the task. Finally, potentials and limitations of the task will be discussed.
