3D prints integration MicaSense RedEdge under DJI PH 4 pro
Description
These are 3D prints, created by VITO (Vlaams Instituut voor Technologisch Onderzoek), to integrate the Micasense RedEdge camera under the DJI PH4 Pro which assures platform stability and flight safety during operations. The main advantage of the integration kit is the simultaneous acquisition of RGB and multispectral imagery. It provides a solid mounting solution for the camera and its metadata sensors. It is a balanced setup to use flight battery power in an efficient way. The center of gravity is optimized for the complete system. The payload battery is selected for its high capacity to weight ratio. Its level can be monitored visually and changing the payload battery can be done quickly in between two flights. Also charging in field conditions is easy. The SD storage medium can also be exchanged in between flights. Furthermore the risk of using WiFi transceivers on the drone is eliminated by providing a wired ethernet connection instead of the included WiFi dongle.The integration shifts to the limits of the system towards e.g. mass, which also, depending on the operation country or operation location, could require additional certificates or permits.
