Competitiveness and alliances: the integration of brazilian universities
Description
Innovation is a driving force that also sets the market and the business strategies. The Brazilian framework has to be adapted to the accelerated technological changes and to the uncertainties regarding the boundaries of organizations. Strategic alliances represent a concrete possibility to competitive re-positioning. This paper is ruled on the Triplex Helix Model and tries to investigate the insertion of the Brazilian universities in the R&D politics of the Brazilian industries. For this, was used a descriptive research with eight enterprises that had shares in BOVESPA belonging to sectors which invest more in R&D. The results show that strategic alliances between university and enterprise aiming to develop new technologies and generating competitive advantage, are in a stage of growth and consolidation, expressed primarily by the perceived importance of this type of alliance to minimize risks and the uncertainties of innovative activities and the governmental incentives to the Law of Innovation.
