Description
This study investigates the extent and trend of campus sexual assault among undergraduates of tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Descriptive research design was used. The population consists of all female undergraduates in South West Geo-political Zoneof Nigeria. A sample of 500 female undergraduates was drawn using simple random sampling techniques. The findings revealed that campus sexual assault perpetrated by lecturersiscommon; unfortunately, sexual harassers often face little punishments from the schools? judicial systems, even when the perpetrator is not a first offender. The study recommendsthe legal solution to drastically reduced campus sexual assault, if its elimination will be possible in the short-time.
