The article analyzes the investment climate in Ukraine in the current difficult political and economic conditions. The structure of direct foreign investments in the national economy was opened, the dynamics of foreign capital was studied. The main problem of attracting foreign investmentsinto the national economy was definitude the investment climate in Ukraine was researched by international rating. The main positive steps of the national government for improving the investment legislation were examined. The important role of forming a stable investment climate to ensure socio-economic development of Ukraine was grounded. The necessity of developing and implementing state strategy of attracting foreign investment in Ukraine was proved, the ways of increasing investment attractiveness of the national economy were proposed
