Despite a long tradition of using the concept of the generalized person, it has been interpreted in different ways until now; case structures are related according to the class of generalized sentences.

The purpose of the article is to establish the uniqueness of generalized personal semantics and to analyze the means of its representation in special syntactic structures of the Ukrainian language.

Generalized and personal meaning is a personal characteristic of the subject of the sentence, which is based on neutralizing its specific personal belonging and the relation of predicate feature to any user of communications. Personal reference of the subject denotate in generalized personal sentences is irrelevant. The leveling of the special status of the speaker in the communicative act and, simultaneously, his/her unconditional belonging to the range of carriers of predicate signs is a characteristic feature of generalized personal sentences.

The expression of generalized personnel meaning in the Ukrainian language is due to the loss of semantic definition that is inherent to the primary specific personal options of the personality pointing to the participants of the communication. This meaning is the most vividly expressed in sentences with the subject You, but its shades realize structures as well as they are the subjects of the first and third persons.
