Лексико-семантична система вокальної лексики

The relevance of the article is to consider the lexical-semantic characteristic of Ukrainian vocal vocabulary. The purpose of the article is to make lexical-semantic characteristic of vocal system vocabulary. The goal involves solving the following tasks: 1) to analyze phenomena such as synonymy, antonymy, polysemy in vocal vocabulary; 2) to determine, except nominative, connotative meaning, consider the development of connotation; 3) to give a definition of the basic concepts of cognitive linguistics “concept “as the largest operational unit of mentality that on the verbal level can affect word, phrase or phraseology; 4) to analyze the artistic means, phraseological units, which form the vocal vocabulary.

In result of the study the following conclusion is made: Ukrainian vocal vocabulary serves as microsystem that consist of a significant body of terms, commonly used words, jargons, synonymous doublets, antonyms and the phenomenon of polysemy and homonymy.

The vocal vocabulary can have connotative meaning – in addition to the basic meaning of the mark, which contains the information about the expressive power, and emotion and expression, and conceptual meaning, generalized meaning that is the basis for other narrower meanings. Also Ukrainian vocal vocabulary can form artistic means: epithets, comparisons, metaphors, oxymoron, metonymy and phraseological units.
