The database of war sites (Kyiv region)

This preliminary dataset contains records of several war-related sites in the Kyiv region, documentation of the changes and conditions of different locations over separate visits in 2024 and 2025. It includes detailed descriptions of memorials, exhibitions, and remnants from the war. The dataset consists of two main parts:

1. First Visit - initial recordings of the sites, including their coordinates, brief descriptions, and photos.

• Columns:

  1. Name: Name of the site or object.

  2. Date of Visit: The date the site was visited (DD.MM.YYYY format).

  3. Type: Type of site or object (e.g., site, trench art).

  4. Location (Latitude, Longitude): GPS coordinates of the site.

  5. Primary Location: General area or specific location description.

  6. Description: Brief description of the site or object.

  7. Images: Reference to the folder containing images for the site.

• Rows: Each row represents a single site or object visited.

2. Second Visit - revisit records, changes that occurred between the two visits, such as alterations to memorials, addition or removal of objects, and further contextual information.

• Columns:

  1. Name: Name of the site or object.

  2. Date of Visit: The date of the second visit (DD.MM.YYYY format).

  3. Description: Updated description of the site, detailing changes observed during the second visit.

  4. Images: Reference to the folder containing images from the second visit.

• Rows: Each row represents a site revisited with updated information.
