Social robots for children with autism spectrum conditions: A review of some selected studies

  • 1. University of the Basque Country

Description

The aim of this paper is to review some selected examples of interventions carried out with social robots, precisely concerning kids and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). A bibliographical search has been conducted on open access publications dealing with ASD and human-robot interaction, using previously decided specific keywords. The chosen sample was composed of 21 scientific articles. We discuss several aspects of these studies, that reflect the actual state of the ASD interventions from the social robotics perspective.
