Description
FESOM2 mesh with a focus on the Southern Ocean. The resolution in the Southern Ocean is around 3 km, while in the rest of the globe, it is around 25 km. The resolution in major straits is also increased.
Vertices: 11087062, Triangles: 22138985
Mesh is generated with JIGSAW-GEO
To reproduce the plot, you need pyfesom2 installed. The resolution is shown according to Danilov (2022).
