Data and methodological support for mapping previously undetected trees reveals overlooked changes in pan-tropical tree cover

Description
We developed an automatic detection algorithm applied to high-resolution satellite data (<5m) to map pan-tropical tree cover from 2015 to 2022. This method enabled us to identify previously undetected tree cover (PUTC) and analyze its changes.
