Description

This data set contains the model output files from the chemical kinetics simulation from the paper titled "Jupiter's Auroral Ionosphere: Juno Microwave Radiometer Observations of Energetic Electron Precipitation Events", accepted in JGR: Space Physics.

The zip file contains 2 set of data:

Monoenergetic beam precipitation: It represents cases of monoenergetic electron beam precipitation for electron energies between 100 keV - 1 MeV

JEDI and UVS PJ 7 electron precipitation: It represents cases of Juno PJ 7 high-energy electron flux. The UVS instrument background count rates have been applied to extend the electron energy distribution to 10 MeV.

-> IonRatesUVS - Both JEDI and UVS spectra for PJ 7 event

-> IonRatesJEDIonly - Contains JEDI case for PJ 7 event

-> IonRatesJEDI01 - Both JEDI and UVS spectra scaled to one-tenth of their intensities

-> IonRatesJEDI001 - Both JEDI and UVS spectra scaled to one-hundredth of their intensities

Each output file is in netCDF format. Here are the units for important variables:

Pressure - Pa

Temp - K

Altitude - m

Concentration - 1/cm^3
