Description

This dataset contains the mechanical test data supporting the publication: Mechanical properties and microstructure of hybrid-manufactured 316 L using PBF-LB/M and DED-Arc/M. It includes hardness measurements (Vickers and UCI), tensile test results, and corresponding images, organized as follows:

  1. Vickers hardness data:

    • Stored in CSV format.
    • Images corresponding to the indentations are included, with their correspondence documented in the CSV file.
    • An additional image provides an overview of the arrangement of indentations on the specimen.
  2. UCI hardness data:

    • Stored in CSV format.
    • The data is in a 2D format, with the columns representing values in the x-direction and the rows representing values in the y-direction, with an equi-distant spacing of 0.2 mm.
    • An additional image provides an overview of the measured hardness map.
  3. Tensile test data:

    • Stored in MATLAB MAT-file format.
    • For each specimen, three files are included:
      • Gauge: Evaluation of the specimen surface, including the interface between the DED-Arc/M and PBF-LB/M zones.
      • Left: Evaluation of the DED-Arc/M side of the specimen.
      • Right: Evaluation of the PBF-LB/M side of the specimen.
    • The hierarchical structure of these MAT files includes the original data and additional metadata.
