TikTok Dataset Collection Framework
Description
This study presents a comprehensive dataset collection framework for analyzing user content through TikTok metadata, utilizing an innovative approach to capture evolving online narratives. Following Baron and Bollen's methodology of quantifying collective identity through hashtags, we developed a systematic pipeline for retrieving and compiling TikTok video metadata using six targeted hashtags: #digitalnomadlifestyle, #digitalnomad, #digitalnomadlife #remotework, #travellife, and #workfromanywhere.
