Description
The current Dance Ontology builds upon the Dance Ontology proposed by El Raheb, K., and Ioannidis, Y. (2012) in their work, A Labanotation-Based Ontology for Representing Dance Movement (published in Gesture and Sign Language in Human-Computer Interaction and Embodied Communication, pp. 106-117, Springer Berlin Heidelberg).
We expanded this ontology by incorporating additional entities tailored to meet the requirements of our work, CretaDance: A methodology for preserving Cretan folk dances through digitization and semantic annotation.
