MicroWPC project dataset about the results published in the paper titled "A step to microplastic formation: Microcracking and associated surface transformations of recycled LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, and PP plastics exposed to UV radiation"

Raw data are stored in this dataset, which was used for the publication titled "A step to microplastic formation: Microcracking and associated surface transformations of recycled LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, and PP plastics exposed to UV radiation" that is published in Polymer Degaradation and Stability.

The dataset contains the following files with their descriptions:

• UV_exposure_effect_on_mass_of_plastic - Data on mass loss of recycled plastics during UV exposure
• DSC_set1_cryst_temp; DSC_set2_cryst_temp and DSC_set3_cryst_temp - Data on the change in crystallinity determined with DSC after UV exposure.
• ATR_FTIR_spectra - Data on the change in chemistry of recycled plastics during UV exposure
• HT_SEC_molar_mass - Data on the changes in molar mass and dispersity of recycled plastics during UV exposure
• Microscopy - Data on the microcrack formation of recycled plastics during UV exposure
