Description

Regarding Table 7: Shared negative rankings of statements, statement #7 reinforces that advisors are less concerned with extrinsic forms of motivation than they are with helping clients succeed. Statement #2 suggests the organization should address the perceived lack of management’s interest in clients’ investment performance. Statement #26 expresses the lack of autonomy advisors have in controlling which and how many clients they must work with. Advisors agree that, unlike the current state, they do not feel it is best to tie bonuses to how many specialized single-topic solutions  they provide to clients (#22). This final point speaks to the degree to which advisors, assuming they are professionals, should be allowed to determine the type, amount, and to whom various services are recommended.
