Description
TABLE 4. Genera added to Cymatosiraceae (1985–2017), all currently extant, all monotypic except Cymatosirella (4 species); with respect to proposed monotypic taxa, examination of the results from Dąbek et al. (2019), for example, would place Pseudoleyanella in Leyanella, Pierrecomperia in Exotubocellulus, and Lambertocellus with some species of Cymatosira, the latter genus being non-monophyletic (Dąbek et al. (2019), yielding an alternative classification.
