Adam and MRCA Studies

This was the first study paper I wrote exploring what is now called the Genealogical Adam Hypothesis (of Joshua Swamidass). It was linked from my blog The Hump of the Camel when I first posted there on 27th February, 2011, though the essay had been written on 8th November, 2010. Because it was originally for my own use, I did not acknowledge my debt to David Opderbeck, who had written an article, linking the idea of a historical Adam to the research of Douglas Rohde, for the BioLogos forum, a little prior to that.
