Cognitive performance of older patients

Full cohort: 283 patients hospitalized at the John Paul II Geriatric Hospital in Katowice between 2015 and 2019 as part of a comprehensive geriatric evaluation
Cohort subgroup: Control (C) (n=101), Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) (n=144), Dementia (D) (n=38)

• Sociodemographic data: Age (1-female, 2-male), Sex, Education (years)
• Clinical Diagnosis (control, MCI, dementia) - based on screening test: MMSE (Mini Mental State Examination), MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment) and CDT (Clock Drawing Test)
• Biochemical data: Sodium, Potassium, Creatinine, Hemoglobin, C-reactive protein, Vitamins D and B12, Uric acid, Glycated hemoglobin, Thyrotropic hormone
• Comorbidities: Hypertension, Diabetes type 2, History of myocardial infarction, Atrial fibrillation, Stroke, Generalized atherosclerosis, (1-disease present, 2-no disease)
• Functional scales data: ADL (Activities of Daily Living), IADL (Instrumental Activities of Daily Living), Berg scale (test of static and dynamic human balance abilities)  
• Other data related to lifestyle: Stressors within the past two years, Body mass index (BMI)
