Data concern topographical parameters (roughness and waviness parameters) measured on varnished surfaces (with one coat and two coats) of oak and beech woods.
These data were correlated with the visuo-tactile perceptions of raised grain which occurs on these varnished surfaces (with one coat), and the visuo-tactile preferences of finished surface quality by industrials and consumers.
